Making an Impact in Our Communities: StoredTech's Q1 Recap

The first quarter of the year was a busy one for the StoredTech team, and also a pretty meaningful one. We spent time supporting causes we care about and staying connected with the communities and partners around us. Here’s a look at some of what we’ve been up to so far this year.
LAAF Human Trafficking Awareness Walk
In January, members of our team took part in LAAF's 2nd Annual Walk-a-Thon to End Human Trafficking, hosted by the Lower Adirondack Alliance for Freedom.
LAAF is a local nonprofit focused on raising awareness about human trafficking right here in our region. A big part of their mission is education. Helping community members understand that human trafficking does unfortunately happen locally, and giving people the tools to recognize the signs and know how to respond safely. Awareness is often the first step in prevention.
The walk brought us together to start important conversations and share the idea that when we’re informed, we’re better equipped to look out for one another. We were proud to support a coalition dedicated to helping our community spot it and stop it.

Teaching Local Businesses How to Use AI Properly
This year, Bill Bowser - our Vice President of Project Services - is hosting AI + Learn sessions in partnership with the Wake Forest Area Chamber, a series of presentations designed to make artificial intelligence easier to understand and more approachable for businesses.
AI is becoming part of everyday business operations, but knowing how and when to use it matters just as much as using it at all. These sessions focus on helping organizations slow down, ask the right questions, and implement AI in ways that align with their goals and values.
What these sessions focus on:
- Practical AI strategy, not hype
- Ethical considerations and responsible use
- Real‑world implementation and readiness
The goal is to help leaders feel confident making informed decisions about AI, without feeling pressured to adopt tools that are not the right fit.

Kars 4 Kids Donations
Sometimes giving back is pretty straightforward. In February, StoredTech donated six company vehicles to Kars 4 Kids, helping turn unused resources into support for programs that benefit children and families.
Donations like these help fund educational initiatives and community programs, and we were happy to contribute in a practical, meaningful way.

ASCEND Mental Wellness Drive
Our New York offices came together to support a donation drive for ASCEND Mental Wellness, donating toiletries and essential bathroom supplies for individuals and families in need.
Mental health is a basic necessity. Having everyday essentials available can help reduce stress and provide a sense of stability during difficult times. The response from our team was incredible, with our donation bins filled up they showed how small actions can still make a very real difference.

Blood Cancer United Action Day
On February 11th, we were proud to serve as an Action Day sponsor for Blood Cancer United’s Student Visionaries of the Year program.
Action Day is about taking a moment to step in and support the next generation of advocates working toward a world without blood cancer. Across the country, students and teams come together to raise awareness, fund lifesaving research, and support families impacted by blood cancers.
"I recently had the chance to volunteer with Blood Cancer United’s Student Visionaries of the Year program, and it turned out to be one of the most inspiring experiences I’ve had in a long time. The program gives high school students a real shot at leading their own seven week fundraising campaign while building skills like teamwork, marketing, and project planning. This year our 12 local teams raised an amazing 629,529 dollars, beating last year’s total. But honestly, the most impressive part was watching the students grow. Some were nervous to speak in front of a group at the start, and by the end they were confidently talking to rooms of more than 100 people like it was nothing. I felt drawn to help because the program gives young people a chance to step up, make an impact, and support families affected by blood cancer in a very real way. We all walked away with a better understanding of what it means to give back to our community. I’m grateful to work at StoredTech where giving back isn’t just something we say we value, it’s something we actually do."

Adirondack Thunder
We’re proud to be a community partner of the Adirondack Thunder, and this partnership has been both fun and impactful.
On the fun side, it brings energy, excitement, and a shared sense of community. On the impact side, it supports local outreach efforts and programs that bring people together beyond the rink. Supporting local sports means supporting shared experiences throughout the region that brings people together.
The Thunder shared this about our partnership, we're incredibly grateful for it:
“Couldn’t ask for a better partner. Thank you to StoredTech for continuously investing in our community and supporting the Adirondack Thunder. Your commitment to showing up and giving back makes a real impact both inside and outside the arena. We’re grateful to have you on our team!”

Our Partnership with ARCC
Our involvement with the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce continued throughout the quarter. ARCC events are always a great reminder of what’s possible when local businesses come together, including celebrations like the J. Walter Juckett Awards, which recognize leadership and community impact across the region.
We were also glad to recently host ARCC leadership meetings in our Collaboration Center. Opening our space for collaboration and conversation is something we value, and it was great to see it used as a place to connect and plan.

Brews & Barks: Supporting Second Chance Pet Adoption
We had some fun at our Brews & Barks event in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was a St. Patrick’s Day themed event hosted with one of our clients, Hays, in support of Second Chance Pet Adoptions.
There were free drinks on us, great conversations, and plenty of very cute doggos looking for their forever homes. Events like this remind us that giving back doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it looks like a relaxed space, happy pups, and people coming together for a good cause.

Looking Ahead
Q1 set a strong foundation for what we want this year to look like at StoredTech. A focus on showing up for our community and supporting causes that are important to us.
None of this happens without our team, our partners, and the organizations we work alongside, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to be involved. As we move further into the year we’re excited to keep building on this momentum by continuing to be a part of the communities we work in every day.
